Become a AYSO Referee! "I don't know any thing about soccer", is the most common excuse we hear. We can teach you all you need to know. New Referees generally start at the U8 level and work up to the higher level games. When enough Referees are available in the ideal situation, you are scheduled to Referee the game before or after you child's game. This is so you can watch your child's game. Referees are discouraged from Refereeing games that their child plays in.
Coaches are encouraged to take the Referee Course. The Referee Course can teach you game strategy and the rules of the game.
You may go to a Referee Course in another region. You must first notify them you are planning to attend in advance.
Region 1335 pays to send a limited number of new and experienced referees to the Ken Aston Referee Camp. If you are new or just wanting to better your referee skills?
